Complete Driver Training Solutions
Remote Driver CPC Training
After the DVSA advised all Driver CPC centres to cease the delivery of classroom based periodic training, it has now been decided to allow approved periodic trainers temporary authorisation to deliver approved courses remotely via digital platforms.
Driveline (GB) Ltd AC01803 has been authorised to deliver such training by the DVSA with immediate effect, we are currently preparing a timetable for the delivery of these courses. We invite all those interested in receiving such training to register their interest. As per the DVSA recommendations, we will be limiting the number of candidates on courses in order to maintain the effectiveness of the training that we provide.
Introduction of Temporary measures for Driver CPC
The Department for Transport has introduced temporary measures to the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence.
Most professional lorry drivers must complete 35 hours of periodic training every 5 years to maintain a driver qualification card. During the current Coronavirus outbreak, it may be difficult for drivers to complete the required training.
These temporary changes mean that drivers with a DQC that expires in the period from 1 March 2020 to 30 September 2020 can continue driving.
Drivers will not be subject to enforcement action by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency in respect of the DCPC regulations and police forces have been informed of this position.
If you are stopped by an enforcement officer, they can check to see that you have previously held a valid DCPC. Drivers should carry their expired DQC if they have it.
Drivers that this measure applies to will be required to comply with DPC rules from 1 October 2020. These changes apply to Great Britain – arrangements in Northern Ireland are devolved.
For international road transport, drivers should have a DCPC, unless the type of transport is exempt from the requirements.
All operators are advised to check insurance validity before permitting drivers to carry out their activities without a valid DQC.”
Having identified a requirement within our distribution operation, Driveline has now developed a thriving training and development department which offers its services to our business partners and members of the public alike. Our fully qualified team of instructors are committed to offering you the highest level of technical expertise, together with a straightforward and comprehensive training program.
The following are the most popular training courses we deliver, although if there is something else required please ask. Our St Austell site is training head office, but many of these courses are available by arrangement at our Plymouth depot, and we can often deliver training at a customer site subject to suitable facilities.
