We are currently looking to recruit a Rental Desk Supervisor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and customer service experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the rental desk, ensuring excellent service delivery to customers, and supporting the wider team.
Key duties include managing bookings, co-ordinating vehicle availability, handling customer enquiries, and valeting and checking the vehicles before hire.
A key requirement for this role is the ability to drive HGV C1 7.5t vehicles, so a valid and appropriate licence is essential. The role will involve moving vehicles between sites.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervising the day-to-day running of the rental desk
- Managing customer bookings and enquiries
- Ensuring vehicle availability and efficient utilisation
- Maintaining high levels of customer service
- Assisting with vehicle movements, driving when required
- Valeting and checking vehicles before hire
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a rental, transport, or logistics environment
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Valid HGV C1 licence (essential)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

We are currently looking to recruit a Service Manager for our busy commercial vehicle workshop based at Molingey Quarry, St Austell.
This is a key role within the business, responsible for the day-to-day management of the workshop, ensuring efficient operations, high levels of customer service, and compliance with all relevant industry and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the running of the workshop, including scheduling, job allocation, and workflow management
- Manage and support a team of technicians and support staff
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Monitor performance, productivity, and profitability of the workshop
- Ensure compliance with DVSA regulations, health & safety requirements, and company procedures
- Handle customer queries, estimates, and invoicing where required
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a commercial vehicle or HGV workshop
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good technical knowledge of commercial vehicles
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)
