Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement – Revised 8/1/2021
Following the announcement of the new lockdown in England on the 4th Jan beginning on the 5th Jan we would like to update our customers regarding our current working arrangement and services provided.
At the current time all our sites remain open but we ask that everyone considers carefully if their need to travel is essential, if it is we are happy to welcome you to us while you continue to follow the stated guidelines below.
Due to the lockdown the DVSA are currently halting all theory and driving tests and as such we have stopped all in-cab training. As crane and forklift training are essential, we will be able to continue these courses with limited numbers. Our other Driver CPC and Operator CPC courses have been moved to online until we can resume classroom training.
We will be altering dates and providing further updates regarding training to the Training section of the website so please refer to those pages for more up to date information as we have it.
In order to further protect our customers, staff and the numerous delivery drivers that visit our sites in St Austell, Plymouth and Par each day, we will be asking everyone to register their visit.
There will be QR code posters displayed within the reception area at each site for you to scan using the NHS Test and Trace app and we are asking for this to be done to follow the Government guidelines to try and help stop the spread of Covid-19. If you would rather complete a track and trace slip, please let us know when you enter and we will direct you to them. For your privacy we are keeping the completed slips in a sealed container and they will be destroyed after 4 weeks.
We remind everyone that you MUST wear a face covering when entering the reception areas of all our sites, unless you have an exemption. Please don’t be offended if our staff remind you about the face covering requirements.
It goes without saying that anyone who has Covid-19 symptoms MUST NOT visit us or send anyone who has had close contact with them, but we are happy to help via phone or email and we will do our best to support any customer who needs our help.
All staff at Driveline are continuing to wash hands, use hand sanitizer, wear gloves, face coverings as required and our usual PPE etc so hopefully with everyone doing their bit, we can all keep safe and well. X
