"As part of its ambitious recycling plans, Basildon District Council wanted to distribute 52,000 chipped garden compost bins to residents. After some production difficulties with the bins, we were forced to more than half the amount of time we had initially planned for the rollout - as we were keen to not delay the launch of our new garden waste collection service. When all other suppliers turned and fled, citing the job as too ambitious within such a constricted timescale, Driveline were able to meet the high demands we had set without delaying our plans or compromising on service.
Overcoming all obstacles on the way, and working as many hours as required to meet the targets, Driveline were able to make sure that we were able to begin the service as planned, helping Basildon District Council to meet its ambitious targets for diverting waste from landfill. The whole rollout took three weeks from start to finish - which many said was unachievable. I truly believe that with someone else apart from Driveline, this would have been the case"
